On the evening of 28 December this year, as part of the "2025 Bay Area Music Gala", the world-renowned Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra will present a magnificent New Year concert at the Xinghai Concert Hall.The performance will be conducted by the Orchestra's Artistic Director and Principal Conductor for Life, Yan Huichang, leading the ensemble through a selection of timeless classics.The concert will feature Ma Wai Him, the Orchestra's Principal Suona, as the Guan soloist, with Principal Pipa Zhang Ying and Principal Dizi Sun Yongzhi as lead players.

Since 2020, the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra has embarked on a three-year "108 Chinese Music Masterpieces" promotion initiative, with all selected works available for listening on the Orchestra's Net Concert Hall. For this concert, the Orchestra has curated five pieces from this collection: The General's Command, Moonlight over the Spring River, Ambushed from Ten Sides, Suite of the Silk Road, and Mu Guiying Takes Command.
